Tradition, the transmission from generation to generation. The great love for wood and the endless hours in the grandfather's workshop, watching him handle his tools and process the wood with such mastery, brings us today to continue with the same passion and love the tradition in monastic art. An art that enables us to create unique pieces for those who are looking today, in a standardized era, for something special, something unique in quality and durability, made ideally for their space.

But what are the differences between natural and industrialized wood (MDF, OSB, plywood)?

Comparatively manufactured wood is easily damaged by moisture, it breaks much more easily than natural wood. Otherwise, natural wood has a high aesthetic value, it is robust, so it does not break easily, characteristics that make it the first choice for the manufacture of furniture, constructions of various types and decorations.

Monastic Traditional Handmade furniture uses the best quality woods, unlike industrialized furniture, wood substitutes are mainly used, such as MDF, which looks like compressed sawdust. Another factor that goes hand-in-hand with handmade furniture is art. In the handmade table you can take a whole log and make it into a coffee table, indoor or outdoor dining table, bench, stool, etc. So the natural form of the wood remains.
